A multi award winning business and production company
We have a simple ethos; we want you to choose the production team that is right for you and your organisation. Choosing a reputable company with a proven track record is, of course, fundamental and a meeting should be arranged. With misleading websites making over-inflated claims, we offer a small selection of client testimonials from a wide range of professionals.
Here is a small sample of professional testimonials we have received from decision makers across a broad range of industries and organisations, both local and international.
Grant Small (Prog Man - Winning Scotland Foundation)
"Studio Scotland have consistently produced an extremely high quality body of work for the Positive Coaching Scotland programme. We presented them with a number of challenging situations, all of which they were able to understand and produce work of the highest standard. The professional approach from all of their staff has made working with them a pleasure. We have been delighted with the outputs; highly recommended!"
David Fulton (Managing Director, Distell.com)
"We at Distell.com had no experience in producing videos to promote our products. Upon contacting Studio Scotland Ltd, we were impressed by their initial guidance and in the level of detail provided. The video production process was described, step-by-step, letting us know what was expected of Distell, with Studio Scotland filling in all the gaps.
With Studio Scotland, it is more than just dealing with a production company. The team actually care about their work and we found they took the time to listen to what we wanted. They guided us through the process, ensuring that we were 100% happy at each point of this process, which was so refreshing to see.
We at Distell.com can say that working with Studio Scotland is thoroughly simple and straightforward. The level of professionalism and due diligence shown by the team at Studio Scotland is second to none. This clearly shows in the end results which exceeded our expectations."
Steven Allenby (MD PBS (NW) Ltd, former Director Morrison Homes & Rowland Homes)
"My relationship with Studio Scotland came about by chance when searching desperately for a “can do will do” creative organisation that could grow, develop and work closely with me, often pushing back the boundaries to discover new, exciting and effective creative marketing ideas. The driving force behind every new project was and is Stewart Menelaws, a quiet and sincere individual, who pushes himself to the limits to find the solution. The consistent dedication, the total reliability and the determination to produce the best possible work has to be their mission.
Often , when all others had gone home for the day, or had given up trying, or had produced typically “ run of the mill” work, the team at Studio Scotland kept going, often through the night to ensure that deadlines were achieved and the end result exceeded expectations. Despite their achievements, they have never sat on their laurels. They constantly educate themselves as to new techniques, keeping abreast of technology. Taking personal ownership and a deep sense of pride will ensure that Studio Scotland will always deliver".
Dr Siam Bhayro (Lecturer in Early Jewish Studies, University of Exeter)
"Working with Studio Scotland is always a pleasure. My media training was conducted with care, sensitivity and great attention to detail. Their experience and professionalism were clear throughout, and the results were immediately obvious. I was also sent away with clear instructions for further exercises, so that I could revise and practice the methods I was taught. I would unreservedly recommend their media training course."
Ian Rock MRICS (Author – Haynes Period Property Manual)
"Haynes Manuals are well know for their Step-By-Step photo features that clearly explain how to carry out repair and maintenance work. For the forthcoming Haynes Period Property Manual we were looking for technical images to illustrate how to use traditional lime mortars, plasters and renders. The Master Stroke DVD Series is the ideal partner for a book of this type. Studio Scotland came up trumps with a selection of good quality images from the series. As a chartered surveyor I found the DVD series very useful. For anyone carrying out repair work or maintetance to old buildings, an hour or so's viewing before starting the job would be time well spent."
Dr Ugo Spano (Managing Director SETRA Ltd)
"Having worked with Studio Scotland before I am 100% sure that the final products threy produce will be excellent. Studio Scotland also tell the best Haggis jokes in the business and make fantastic videos...!!!"
Roz Artis-Young (Director Scottish Lime Centre Trust)
"The Scottish Lime Centre Trust took the decision to enter the digital age by putting some of our training materials on DVD. Our initial toe
in the water experience with a production company was less than satisfactory, resulting in lots of footage but little in the way of direction. On a recommendation from our web designers we opened discussions with Studio Scotland, not without concerns particularly as our first experience was so inconclusive and disappointing. However from the outset, we felt at ease, thought we were in good hands and realised very quickly that the mistakes that had gone before were well understood and would not be repeated.
The reality has proven to be everything we hoped for and considerably more. Working with Studio Scotland has been a breath of fresh air. The delicate way they have handled our shy, nervous crew has been professional to a fault. The results are better than we could ever
have imagined - Talk about chalk and cheese.
There is no substitute for working with professionals and there is no question Studio Scotland are all of that, they make the whole process easy. Lots of people are nervous in front of a camera, but Studio Scotland staff are patient, helpful and courteous to a fault, and the results, well, we think they speak for themselves and everyone who has seen the end result agrees. We intend to make many more DVD's with Studio Scotland in the future, it's been one of the best things we have ever done."
Thomas Praestegaard (The Four Tenors)
"First of all, a huge round of applause, not only with the amazing quality of the product but also the incredible speed with which you have made this..."
Irene Hasager (Concert Pianist)
"Brilliant Work!!!!!!! Studio Scotland has made some really brilliant work! Professional work with a very high artistic standard and very charming! Studio Scotland has done a fantastic job."
Adam Piggot (Creative Director, Red Empire Design)
"Shots are impeccably composed and lit, results are of the highest quality. He can be relied upon to provide creative and practical solutions to complex briefs, his understanding of different photographic techniques and extensive knowledge of image manipulation make him very easy to work with."
Steve Christie (Print2000 (Former Photo Agent for Kings Sturge, Rocco & Torrelli)
"Stewart and the team at The Studio have been fantastic for the few years we've worked together. The quality of their work is of the highest standard and they have always bent over backwards to accommodate the photography I need done for my clients, often at very short notice. With his design background, Stewart always understands exactly what our clients require first time and I can't recommend them highly enough."
Michel Couvreux (President - TransMineral Inc, USA)
"The quality, content, and superior instruction are astonishing in these professional Master Stroke DVD Tutorial series. They should be considered the bible for all lime mortar applicators-amateurs and professionals alike."
Keith McAllister (Director - Heritage Stone Restorations PTY Ltd, Australia)
"The DVDs are fantastic, of great quality and will be of great use at the expo in Sydney and for our training courses in association with the Master Builders Association and the Construction Industry Training Board."
Lorraine Hume (Sales & Marketing Manager)
"The Studio has consistently provided Highmore Homes with high quality and innovative work in all aspects of the services provided - an absolute joy to work with."
Donald Dallas (Author for Holland & Holland, Purdie & Boss International gun makers)
"Absolutely first class, stunning photography... in the latest book for International gun makers - Boss, images were shot by leading gun photographers, but the Images created by Stewart Menelaws were used as centre piece spreads - his work is simply top class and he is my first choice when I need quality."
Kenny Hannah (Director of Operations - SQMC)
"I first approached Studio Scotland when looking for professional quality video production and editing services locally, for an E-learning project at SQMC. Stewart and Deborah Menelaws were most welcoming, informative, and patient; making the entire process a breeze for the presenter and I. We were delighted with the results, and hope this pilot course will lead to a series of others. If so, I’ll have no hesitation in outsourcing to Studio Scotland again, and would highly recommend their services to anyone with similar requirements.”
Anne Marr (Director – Sonis Europe)
"We want you to know that we are extremely pleased with the quality of service your company provides. We sincerely appreciate your responsiveness and the way you conduct business in such a professional and friendly manner. We look forward doing business with you for years to come."
Ian G Wilkie (Supply Chain Director, Brand-Rex Ltd)
"When Brand-Rex decided to create a new corporate video, we wanted something a little bit different and the challenge was to find a company who we could connect with creatively so that our ideas could be translated into reality.
We looked at a number of production companies and were quite depressed by the lack of originality being offered. Studio Scotland impressed from the very first meeting. Their enthusiasm and creativity are completely unique and the quality of their previous productions convinced us immediately that they were the correct choice.
One of the most appealing aspects of Studio Scotland was their desire to listen so that they understood what we were looking for. They then transformed some basic ideas into inspiring concepts that really pushed the boundaries of our own imaginations.
The finished production gave us everything we could have hoped for and a whole lot more. The extremely high quality cinematic production has impressed everybody and convinced us that we were absolutely right to choose them for this project. They are quite simply the best small film production company we have ever encountered, delivering a standard of output that many large studios would struggle to match".
Billy Bell (Managing Director, Wine Importers Ltd)
"I can thoroughly recommend the team at Studio Scotland to produce the highest quality, dynamic film, exactly to fit the needs of their clients. They are great to work with and bend over backwards to give you exactly what you require. I really enjoyed planning our film with them, as their professional ability kept me entirely focused on the best approach to get the results I wanted. On this they delivered big time and we now have a very potent sales and marketing tool with the film they produced, which will set us apart from our competitors."
Geoff Morrison (Marketing Manager - Crieff Hydro Hotel)
"The Studio Scotland team were a pleasure to work with, producing extraordinary results on a set budget and within a tight production schedule. Not only did they show great technological insight but also a sound understanding of the brief and target audience for each production. We look forward to working with them again in the near future."
Stuart Gray (Sales & Marketing Director - Knockhill Racing Circuit)
"Able to produce top class results - on time and on budget. The Studio is much, much more than just a creative production company - they are a team of professional individuals who collectively have a tremendous wealth of experience that is reflected in their ability to understand
and execute complex briefs - and they're easy to work with!"
Douglas Johnston (Technical Advisor - St. Astier Limes)
"From the very beginning of my involvement with producing and distributing traditional building materials a little over 20 years ago, it became apparent that there was a skills and knowledge gap in relation to traditional building practice. Working with a number of organisations to try and bridge this gap for at least the last 15 years has only been marginally successful and along with a number of colleagues of a like mind, it became apparent that we really needed to do something more radical to try and change the way training was being carried out.
Due to our previously very successful working relationship with Studio Scotland Ltd on a couple of other related subjects, we took the decision in conjunction with them to create a base of knowledge based DVD’s aimed specifically at our target market.
This format, established in conjunction with Studio Scotland Ltd marketing expertise demonstrated that through training and product placement, we could easily be in a position to radically change the knowledge base of the industry in a time scale we would have considered unimaginable a few years ago.
It’s a joy to work with seasoned, innovative professionals who know what is important for a successful production and can deliver the goods on time."
Nikki Bruce (Project Manager - Thistle Foundation)
"We invited three companies to tender for the making of a short marketing film for accredited training courses delivered by Thistle.
We made a good choice, going with Studio Scotland Ltd! Stewart Menelaws, as our main contact, was unfailingly patient and helpful, as we dithered on occasions, unable to make decisions and often changing our minds later! We were welcome to be fully involved at each stage of the filming and editing process, which meant we learned loads! Nothing was too much of a problem for Stewart, creative ideas flowed, and drafts were delivered in good time.
We have ended up with a fantastic film which we are very proud to show to potential students and employers. Many thanks for a job well done, it was great working with the Studio Scotland Ltd and we would be happy to recommend your services to anyone."
Sarah Morrison (Wider Access Development Officer)
"The idea behind ‘Role on to Success’ was to produce a film that would show young people attending one of our target schools that going to college and university is a real possibility for them, and to inspire them to consider these as options. RO2S was a challenging film to produce, as we first had to identify current undergraduates and recent graduates from partner colleges and universities who had attended a LIFT OFF target school, and then liaise with them and Studio Scotland to produce a film timetable that was practical and cost-effective.
Studio Scotland was fantastic to work with. They really listened to us and got behind the concept immediately. The team were keen to hear our ideas, and would incorporate these where possible, but were also very practical and kept our feet on the ground with regard to what was the most practical way forward that would keep us within budget.
We are delighted with the final product, which has already proven to be a powerful tool in delivering the LIFT OFF message to young people. We would highly recommend Studio Scotland to others and would not hesitate to work with them again in the future."
Lynne McNicoll (Appeal Co-Ordinator - Teenage Cancer Trust)
"On behalf of Teenage Cancer Trust, thank you very much for your help in producing our new Remember Zoe DVD. It really has made such a difference already to our presentations and I am most grateful to you for your help. Once again… thank you so much for your amazing work on the DVD; it is a wonderful tribute to Zoe – I very much appreciate your help."
Steven Ogg (Director Garden Design Fife)
"We are absolutely delighted, totally impressed with the service and the incredible results - business has increased 10 fold! Customers tell us after viewing our site they don't bother going anywhere else... all I can say is, you have been a real God Send for our company."
